20 first aid items suggested by Red cross society to keep in first aid kit

Red cross society, indeed, one of the very big organization globally, has advised families to keep a well stocked firs aid kit all time to handle day to day medical emergencies.

According to recommendation, following 20 items are required to have in a first aid kit for family of four:

  • Adhesive cloth tape (10 yards x 1 inch) – 1 No
  • Antibiotic ointment
  • Antiseptic wipe packets
  • Disprin Tablet
  • Blanket (space blanket)
  • Breathing barrier (with one-way valve)
  • Instant cold compress
  • Nonlatex gloves (size: large)
  • Hydrocortisone ointment
  • Scissors – 1 No
  • Roller bandage (3 inches wide) – 1 No
  • Roller bandage (4 inches wide) – 1 No
  • Sterile gauze pads (3 x 3 inches) – 5 No
  • sterile gauze pads (4 x 4 inches) – 5 No
  • Digital thermometer
  • triangular bandages – 2 No
  • Tweezer
  • First aid book
