An automated external defibrillator, shortly abbreviated as AED is a portable electronic device. This is a modern device that can be helpful in case of cardiac arrest. This device automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.
With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layperson, preferably by trained person.
We see the increasing cases of cardiac attack and respiratory attacks now a day. If such incident happens at workplaces, schools or collages then it the employer’s or director’s responsibility to arrange for the immediate treatments. In such incidences, if the portable AED is available there, then the other person, preferably trained persons can provide the first aid treatment using this device, and by the time if ambulance or medical professional is arrived there, then the chances of survival are increase.
Therefore this is a must to have device for Schools, Colleges, Factories, Corporate offices and Government offices.
Grannus also provides training on how to use AED effectively in case of breathing or cardiac emergencies.
